The Ruby Midge features a Red 70 Denier thread body, small black wire ribbing, and a gold or silver bead head with Black 70 Denier thread at the head of the fly. This pattern has proven especially effective in the clear waters of the White River in Arkansas as well as other trout streams of the Ozarks. It consistently draws strikes from wary trout.
